Gwalior, a modern city is an ancient capital of Madhya Pradesh, lying in the heart of India. This vibrant and bustling city Gwalior had a multitude of reigning dynasties, who have etched remarkable engravings of their time in the city’s palaces, temples and monuments. Gwalior is famous for being the native place of Tansen, a veteran musician and also one of the nine jewels of the Akbar's court. Major Attractions in Gwalior include - Gwalior Fort, Jai Vilas Palace, Gujari Mahal, Vivswaan Mandir (Surya Mandir), etc.
Shivpuri is known for it rich national park. The Shivpuri National Park is also called Madhav National Park and came into existence in 1958 when the state of Madhya Pradesh too was formed. This wildlife sanctuary was formerly the hunting reserve of the Scindia rulers of Gwalior. Shivpuri National Park wildlife stock is immense.
Khajuraho, the symbol of open love gallery is the temple architecture of India, the beauty of which is admired by all. Khajuraho temple complex remains unique to the world. This temple complex was built about 1000 years ago under the generous and artistic patronage of the Chandela Rajput kings of Central India. About 85 temples, brilliant in form and splendidly carved, came up on one site, near the village of Khajuraho. The carvings on these temples are highly sensual with their symbolic importance.
